Botswana, Bulgaria, Cambodia, the Congo, Gambia, the Sudan, and Syria, all of whom receive 75 percent or more of their fresh water from the river flow of often hostile upstream neighbors, holy smolly i didnt know that geez we just take tap wgater for grandtit* p.s i dont know if i spelled that right
ReplyDeleteCountries fight over who has control of water distribution and who gets the water.
ReplyDeleteThe increasing of world population and increase in average living style and irrigation.
Solutions include desalination, market water management, or reduce pollution to conserve water.
Calvin Bukovitz--First to post!!!
water can cause alot of conflict. Because the people who dont have water might argue the fact that they dont have water, which they should have water. And other countries without water may start threating countries who do have water.
ReplyDeleteThat would be amazing if we could replace oil with water
ReplyDelete1. because some countrys could share water supply so they fight who gets the most of the water shared between them
ReplyDelete2. because how hot a place gets they need more or less water in that countrys
3 share the water and give the same amount to every person
Maggie E
Water causes conflic because some countries
ReplyDeletehave more of it than other countries
Global climate affects it because, the climate can dertermine if you have nore water or less water.
Maybe a possible solution is that we could divide all of the worlds water so everyone could have a equal share.
Scotty DeClark
Water can cause conflict between countries because many countries share one water source and some of those contries are hostile towards each other and they dont know what could of got put in the water from upstream countries
ReplyDeleteDerrick
aaron nieuwenhuis
ReplyDelete1.because different countries need water and they want it for them selves
2.it could melt the ice and then there would be more water but it would leak into the ocean and it would become salt water
3.get more envirnmently friendly appliences
1. Water can cause conflict between countries because they may fight for a river that runs between the two instead of sharing.
ReplyDelete2. As the global tempatures are increasing, snow and ice is melting faster which mean that in the summer when demand for water is high there won't be as much.
3. Some possible solutions to this would be desalination, putting a value on water (market type approach) slowing down population growth, minamizing pollution, water conservation, or just making everyone aware about the lack of water.
-Emily T.
water can cause alot of conflict. Because the people who dont have water might argue the fact that they dont have water, other countries without water may start threating countries who do have water.
ReplyDeleteWorld population has recently reached six billion and United Nation's projections indicate nine billion by 2050 HOLY BALONEY
ReplyDeleteKage
1. countries fight over sharing lakes and rivers.
ReplyDelete2. When the temp. rises the ice melts. When the temp. drops the water freezes.
3. stop polluting in lakes and rivers to save water.
-Alec Hietpas
a
ReplyDeletecountries have conflicts over who has more water and who should get it.
ReplyDeleteGlobal climate change might effect it because if the temperatures get hotter then the need for water will be higher than normal.
A couple of solutions are desalination, reduce pollution or market water management.
-J.P. Peerenboom
Global climate change can affect the conflict over water because if the temperature goes up the water will start to evaporate
ReplyDeletederrick
1. Water causes conflict between countries because counties need water for there growing population and resources, and theres not that much wter for everybody because a lot of countries already own it and are trying to obtain it.
ReplyDelete2. If the climate get hotter and dryer, the more the people are going to need it, if the climate is wet or cool the demand for water is going to drop.
3. Some possible solutions could be to share throughout countries, or sell water to other countries.
WEEston Guilfoyle
Travis Schmeltzer
ReplyDeleteSome countries recieve their fresh water from the same river. This causes threats and other bad things to occur about who owns the river and who gets to have the water.
Climate change could effect the water issue in a really bad way. With the rising temperatures and drying climate the water could evaporate faster leaving us with less water.
A solution to this water issue could be that everyone would get an amount of water they can use per year causing people to conserve their water instead of wasting it.
1. Water can cause conflict because countries could fight over who has more water or who has less water. They could also fight over who gets the water.
ReplyDelete2. Global climate could affect water because with higher temperatures means there is less water supply during summer, which is when the supply is a high demand.
3. Some solutions are reducing pollution, slowing the population growth or desatination plants. Those could all help with the water demand.
Kenzie U.
1. Both countries want it, so they will fight to get it.
ReplyDelete2. Less water will be availible to farms and cities in summer when demand is very high.
3. Restrict the use of water
Luke Draheim
Simon Moe
ReplyDelete1. Water causes conflict between regions by them not having enough and if they have enough, they might not be able to share it equally depending on the location.
2. If global warming is true, which there is evidence of. Then the water that we have that is drinkable would decrease even more which would cause a lot of people problems in places where water is rare.
3. Obvious solutions to the problem at hand is to conserve water in different ways. Try to do things like using less water and tring to help others conserve water. Things like energy saving appliances would also help in the battle for water.
1. Water can cause conflicts because many countries do not have clean water to drink while other countries do, and the countries with little to no water need water so they might start threatening to do stuff to the countries that have water so that they give them some and then they have water too.
ReplyDelete2.Global Climate Change effects the water issue in many ways, because if the Earths climate grows warmer, ice caps start to melt making more water, but then with more and more water, rivers and oceans can overflow causing floodings and people can drown in floodings, and who knows where all that water will overflow into, it could go into a waste management place and get contaminated and you wouldnt want to drink contaminated water because you can get sick.
3.Some possible solutions can be easy things like turning off the water when brushing your teeth, taking shorter showers, letting it "mellow" (ew), or not watering your yard and just let the rain do it.
-Jared K
1. When the countries have share water with neighboring countries that also water shortages
ReplyDelete2. If it is getting hotter then the winter snowpacks will melt more rapidly causing farms and cities won't have enough water during the summers
3. Slow population growth, reduce pollution, better management of water supply and demand and conserve water
Jackson
Some possible solutions are to put a price on water, slow down the population growth or desalination
ReplyDeleteDerrick
1) Countries fight over the water supply. They often fight about who has control over it and how much each country has.
ReplyDelete2) Climate affects the water issue because it can determine how much water you have and how much you need.
3) Some solutions could be to make sure every country has some water supply, and we should stop polution to save and conserve water.
Katie Coffey
Countrys fight over who gets the water because it is a very important part of everyday life.
ReplyDeletewith global climate change there are going to be big ice glaciers melting.
a solution is desalanation and not putting waste into water sources
Corey Paschen
Some rivers cross borders of other countries that are viewed as hostile and the countries fight over those rivers.
ReplyDeleteHigher temperatures and rapid melting of winter snow packs means less water available to farms and cities.
Possible solutions are to slow population growth, assign a value to water or reduce pollution.
Sara Sollars
There are approximately 11,000 desalination plants in 120 nations in the world, 60 percent of them in the Middle East. WOW
ReplyDeleteThunder thys
1Counties fight for natural sources of water like rivers so they can gain political power so they can bring safe water to their people and gain favor in the eyes of citizens. Or to have for planting crops intrustial use or domestics.
ReplyDelete2as the air temperature increases the polar ice caps melt fresh clean water in salt oceans decreasing the amount of fresh water
3 to negiotioate between to counties for river privelages and to find ways to prevent hot changes in the climate
DAVID
1.Water causes alot of conflict between counrties because other countries need or want it from other countries that have it.
ReplyDelete2.Global warmining could effect how much water we have because the tempurature would be warmer.
3.One of the possible solutions could be putting a value on water.
Hanna Cuomo
BEES NEES
ReplyDeletewhen i do a push up i dont go up i push the world down
ReplyDeleteChuck norris
1)you neeed water to live
ReplyDelete2)with the high temperatures and the fast melting snow less water will be avaible to everyone
3)you could put out a pail to collect the rain water to water plants
Breanna
1:water can cause alot of conflict. Because the people who dont have water might start threating countries who do have water.
ReplyDelete2: As summer starts to end the snow and ice start to melt faster the demand on water will go higher.
3:if u slow down population growth it will start miniazing pollution and water conservation.
1. Water causes conflict between neighboring countries whose water source come through another hostile country's land. This causes the people to worry about the hostile country's ability to cut off the water supply and creates tensions between the countries.
ReplyDelete2. As the Earth's global climate increases it could cause more conflict because it could cause water to be evaporated while being transfered in land causing a drop in the farming industry. Also the heat could allow the water temperature to raise and be a suitable living enviroment for bacteria that could cause disease. It could worsen the situation for already unfortuneate countries and maybe even affect us!
3. Some possible solutions are for people to waste less water for simple things like washing dishes and washing their hands. People could now use water conserving toilets, faucets, and showerheads thus saving water for every person that now purchases these water saving devices. There are 11,000 desalination plants in 120 nations in the world, 60 percent of them in the Middle East which as we speak is at war with us. Having 60 percent there isn't good beacuse like when the war originally started they coul cut off these plants from the rest of the world.

What does chuck norris have to do with water???????
ReplyDeleteAfrica, Southern Asia, and around Cental America.
ReplyDeleteThis creates conflict in our southern states over who gets how much water.
Calvin Bukovitz-- First to post!!!
water scarcity is becoming more relavent in the united states and if we keep using water at the rate we are today it will become comnpletly relavent to us and by then it will be too late
ReplyDeleteDerrick
On the map i found it showed that the US has little or no water scarcity
ReplyDeleteWeston Guilfoyle
Chris Anger
ReplyDelete1. water causes conflict between countries because 2 billion people dont have
acces to clean fresh water. People need the water to survive and the water is going scarce. 2.Because the people keep moving to areas were theres not alot of water our to many people so if the population keeps increasing theres not going to be alot of water. 3. It can be fixed by being more energy efficent by using less water in everything you do.
Canada and Mexaico have a lack of water and we are probably going to have to help to have to help them because we are their neighbors
ReplyDeleteJackson
What does Chuck norris have to do with water??????? ah i will tell you he drinks water duh!!!!
ReplyDeleteThunder Thys
IN MOST DRY COUNTRIES THERE IS LESS WATER (OBVIOUSLY) AND IN COLD PLACES THERE IS MORE WATER!!!
ReplyDeleteSCOTTY DECLARK!!!
other countries will want our water and may fight for it. less water in warmer climates
ReplyDeleteLuke
Mexico,Canda and Africa need our help with their lacking of water because if we do not then they may not want to help us if we are in some kind of war.
ReplyDeleteJimmy Flanigan
The near future could bring war to the US over water and also countries like Russia and to the countries in Europe.
ReplyDeleteAustin Schreiber
How does water cause conflict between countries?
ReplyDeleteThe main reason that water causes conflict is because there is not a lot of it at all, the United States gets it a lot and South America gets very little. We also get it from our five great lakes, South America only gets it from rivers and they are dirty our water is very clean.
How may global climate change affect the water issue?
The world is getting warmer in that case it will get warmer where the ice bergs are and then they will melt and the water level will go up and start flooding places. The pollution from cars and throwing things in the lakes is another way the ice bergs will melt.
What are some possible solutions?
Use less water when taking a shower, ride your bike or walk whenever you can.
Chloe Svejda
Water seems to be more scarce in dryer areas like Africa, Parts of Australlia and parts of Asia.
ReplyDeleteIn the U.S the only dry areas are down by Arizona and states that are in that area, the rest of the U.S has little to no water scarcity so the rest of the U.S should be ok for now.
Jared K
The United States has little to no water scarcity because were studs
ReplyDeleteBut he doesn't drink water water jumps into his mouth in fear of him
ReplyDeleteThe united states probably has the most water resources along with places in eroupe. Other coutries would proably need our help.
ReplyDeleteWater is scarce in Africa and the south part of Asia.
ReplyDeleteThis could effect trade with those countries.
Sara Sollars
AFRICA has lots of drought
ReplyDeletealec
Mexico and South America realy need help with there water issues
ReplyDeleteKage
^hanna cuomo
ReplyDeletethe USA has little water scarcetiy becuase we are very developed
ReplyDeleteNew Mexico and Arizona have a little water scarcity, and so do some of our neighboring countries, so over time those other countries may want some of our water then we could become short of water.
ReplyDeleteEmily T.
Warmer climates have less water. We have a decent amount of water in the U.S. In the future, other countries might want our water and we will have to fight to keep it.
ReplyDeleteKatie Coffey
Based on the maps that I have seen, U.S.A has enough water to cover the whole country and it is one of the few places to have that. The water ends at the border to the south though.
ReplyDeleteSimon Moe
Once the other countries run out of water they will have to take it from the U.S because we have a lot of it.
ReplyDeleteTravis S
In Africa there is not alot of water because it is really dry there and theres not alot of lakes. This could effect us because they might want to move by us because we have alot of water. Then we could go scarce.
ReplyDeleteA couple of places have a lot of water scarcity and the United states might be affected because we might have to help them out.
ReplyDelete-J.P. Peerenboom
Hotter places usually have more of a drought problem
ReplyDeleteit seems that that the few countries in africa are more likey to want to steal water for their scarcity, only texas is likey to ask for hand outs of water
ReplyDeleteDavid
the water scarity can affect the united states
ReplyDeleteby that somewater can come from other countrys like africa
Maggie E.
The US has little water scarcity so other countries could want our water like Africa or Mexico.
ReplyDeleteKenzie U.
Andy Schmalz
ReplyDeleteCountries fight over water because they have a large shortage and they both need the water, but they both want it to. Rivers can go through many countries and they don't know who should get the water, so they fight over it.
Global warming is melting snow packs which is causing less water to be usable for us.
The best solution to this problem is to use less to do more.
kitten cannon anyone?
ReplyDeletescotty
hello atoms
ReplyDeletewater seems to be scarce and dryer areas like africa, and parts of Austraila and Asia. the rest of the u.s has little water or no water at all.
ReplyDeleteclick this if you want to live
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with andy
ReplyDeletebut we could get caught in that fight over water because we will have most of it
.
ReplyDelete.
Usa has some water problems in the central part of the country.
ReplyDeleteKage
Cool Story Bro
ReplyDeleteAfrica will suffer badly from drought and i think rivers and lakes will lose water and dry up.
ReplyDeleteBreanna
Africa doesnt have a lot of water because it is dry and this can affect us because we have enough water to help them and we should.
ReplyDeleteAndy Schmalz
Its scarce in the middle east africa and some places in south america. This could want the
ReplyDeletem to cause war with us because we have water.
