Sheboygan Mayor Bob Ryan is formally contesting the effort to recall him, challenging the recall group's reasons for removing him from office.
City Clerk Sue Richards tells the Sheboygan Press that Ryan had a Friday deadline to challenge the recall petition - and he did.
She says the mayor is contesting the reason why the group wants to recall him, which is "to preserve the integrity of (the) mayor's office of Sheboygan."
Richards said the recall group, headed by Alderman Kevin MatiChek, has until 5 p.m. Wednesday to formally rebut Ryan's challenge.
The recall effort came several weeks after Ryan, an admitted alcoholic, passed out in a tavern and got in an altercation that attracted the police.

In my article, it says that our national debt and forein aid is at its tightest/highest since the ending of the Cold War. They are beginning to once again, limit the amount of countries they include in foreign aid. (i.e., Some think we should cut off Pakistan for being dishonest with the U.S.) As the government scrutinizes the situation, people are beginning to make a point that we give "10 million dollars in foreign aid" to China, and yet they are just as developed as we are, but we keep giving them money, there's no point to it. With a deadline on November 23rd, State Senates must agree upon $1.2 trillion that needs to be met on a 10-year limit.
